Garden Wild Herbs - Dandelions (10/10/2019)

Today I picked and cooked Dandelion leaves from my garden. I am very interested in wild herbs and vegetables - I beleive they taste better.

I've cooked the leaves in a number of ways, treating their preparation like any other vegetable.

So far I have tried frying the leaves, added them to my noodle soups and I have eaten them with other vegetables picked from my garden.

Many wild herbs and weeds have a lot of vitamins and minerals - with all of this good nutrition why not add them to green up your next meal!

I find the taste very mild, I do not find it bitter.

I have added some information about Dandilions, but please feel free to do your own research before trying or eating wild herbs:

"All parts of a dandelion plant are edible, from root to flower, dandelions are highly nutritious plants loaded with vitamins, minerals, and fiber. Dandelion greens can be eaten cooked or raw and are an excellent source of vitamins A, C, and K. They also contain vitamin E, folate, and small amounts of other B vitamins."
