A lot of Japanese cuisine is either steamed or boiled - this is because western ovens were not common or used until very recently.
I have created a bread recipe that doesn't need an oven to bake, as it is steamed. It can be used like any other store bought bread; spread jam over it, grill some cheese on top or wrap leftovers in it.
As the photo shows, I used my steamed bread as a wrap for my pumpkin curry. It was very delicious.
